Tri Cities Tax and Accounting was formed in 1987 when Ronald Burt and Hugh Homer joined their practices. They moved their business to a historic home at 530 West Kennewick Avenue. It was a good decision for both of them, the business grew rapidly. After a few years together, Hugh wanted to pursue other interests and asked Ron if he would like to buy his half. Ron eagerly accepted the proposal and continued to enjoy helping clients with their tax needs. Though the partnership ended, the friendship and respect of these two original partners continues today. Ron continued to build his practice, mostly through referrals from satisfied clients. The business grew to the point that Ron decided to accept his nephew, Darren Szendre as a partner in 2007. Darren built a new office building and Ron agreed to move the business to the new location. The partnership ended after a very short time and Ron allowed his nephew to keep the Tri-Cities Tax name. Ron moved back to the landmark building on Kennewick Avenue and continues to serve his clients there. Ron is doing business under his own name.
